Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Glenn Knight

   Glenn D. “Short” Knight, 87, of Gladwin died June 3, 2005 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Gladwin after a long illness. He was born March 29, 1918 in Gladwin to Harry and Leona Knight. He married the former Rosemary Truelove on Oct. 21, 1948. He lived in Gladwin County his whole life and was a foreman at Dow Chemical. He also served in the military during WWII. He was a member of Oddfellows of Gladwin, Gladwin VFW Post 11256, and Rats of Standish.

   Surviving him are two sons, Michael (Shelley) Knight of Gladwin and Patrick Knight of Bonita Springs, Florida; one daughter, Connie (Ted) Goodrich of Bonita Springs, Florida; three grandchildren, Heidi Knight of Bonita Springs, Florida, Dr. Tasha (Darrin) Wallace of Fort Myers, Florida, and Donovan Knight of Naples, Florida; two step-grandchildren, Sarah (Grove) Derrick and Robert M. Grove, Jr.; one Great grandchild, Olivia Wallace; two step-Great grandchildren, Darren M. Cobb and Angel L. Cobb; one brother, Dan Knight of Estey; three sisters, Maxine Cassiday of Gladwin, Helen Walters of West Branch, and Dorothy Elwood of Merrill; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Jack; and his grandson, Dillon.

   A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 11 at 11 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. There will be a dinner following the service at the Knight residence.
