Goldie Knake
Goldie J. Knake, 54, of Beaverton, died Jan. 25, 2006 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born July 14, 1951 in Hillsdale to Perry and Imogene (Griffis) Leonard. She married Thomas Knake in Hope on May 2, 1970. She was a caregiver at Lutheran Social Services of Michigan and a member of the Hope Baptist Church. She lived in Gladwin County since 1970.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Knake of Beaverton; four children, Thomas, Jr. (Brandi) Knake of Beaverton, Carol (Scott) Legue of Millington, James Knake and Bobby Knake, both of Beaverton; six grandchildren; her mother, Imogene Leonard of Midland; two sisters, Theresa Ray of Midland and Brenda Hartfeilder of Bay City; two brothers, Duane Leonard and Lawrence Leonard, both of Midland; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and by her brother, Howard.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with Pastor Neil Wiggins officiating. Burial followed in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton.
