Charles W. Klein
Charles W. Klein, 68, of Gladwin, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995 at his home. Born
Aug. 17, 1927 in Pontiac, he came to Gladwin as a child and was a lifetime resident here. Mr.
Klein was a builder and also worked for Brown Machine for 25 years before retiring in 1990. He
was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Klein married the former Ellen McAllister May 6, 1950 in Beaverton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Deborah and husband Jim Grogg of Gladwin; his
in-laws, Harold and Leah McAllister of Gladwin; 3 sisters, Ella Winkler of Gladwin, Bernice Tucker
of Midland, and Ida and George McGregor of California; and 2 granddaughters, Jennifer and Melinda.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday from the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin with Elder Roger Haines
and Dr. Ellis Whitehead officiating. Burial was in McClure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the
Gladwin High School.
