Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
Robert M. Kitzman Sr.

(27 AUG 1929 - 16 MARCH 1999)

   Robert M. Kitzman Sr., 69, of Gladwin, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at the MidMichigan Medical Center, Gladwin. He was born Aug. 27, 1929, in Topaz, to Alexander and Grace Morian Kitzman. Bob married Leatrice (Joy) Rulapaugh on Sept. 4, 1971, in Midland. He retired from The Dow Chemical Co., in the mid 80's and has lived in Gladwin County the past 20 years. Bob was a volunteer fireman for Clement Township, and a member of the Gladwin Sheriff's Posse and charter member of the Sanford Eagles and he was very active with the Gladwin Little League, player, manager and a charter member of the Christ The King Lutheran Church.

   He is survived by his wife, Joy; his children Connie and Jack Pyle of Mason, Bonnie and David Battice of Houghton Lake, Bobbie and Jim Patty of Sanford, Tina and Kevin Robinson of Ocals, Fla., Tom Kitzman of Beaverton and Robert M. Kitzman Jr of Gladwin; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers, Kermit Kitzman of Alpena and Orval Kitzman of West Bloomfield Heights, two sisters Anne and Dell Warner of Livonia and Betty and Howard Yuker of Alpena.

   Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 1999, at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Gladwin. The Rev. Reeed Schroer will officiate and burial will be in Butman Township Cemetery.

   Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Sission Funeral Home in Gladwin. Memorials may be made to the family or Christ the King Lutheran Church.
