Oliver Kitchen
SERVICES HELD FOR OLIVER KITCHEN
Oliver Kitchen, 59, died at his home in Beaverton, of self-inflicted injuries on Wednesday, November 23. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Beaverton Methodist church with the Rev. Donald Sailor officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton cemetery. Services were under the suspices of the American Legion and Gladwin I.O.O.F. Lodge.
Mr.Kitchen was born in Gladwin township on November 19, 1890. He married Miss Hazel Murphy in Beaverton on June 2, 1910. A veteran of World War I, he served with the A.E.F. for one year. Ill health for the past year forced Mr. Kitchen into retirement. Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Mary Kitchen of Beaverton; one brother, Leslie, of Beaverton; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Bergman of Beaverton and Mrs Fleda Force of Flint. One brother preceded him in death.
