Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Robert Kirbitz

   Robert M. Kirbitz, 71, of Gladwin, Michigan died April 17, 2006 at home. He was born Jan. 14, 1935 in Flint. He married the former Orpha Good in 1959; she passed away in 1998. He then married Cora Good. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a welder for General Motors in Flint and retired in 2001 after 42 years. He lived in Gladwin County for five years, previously residing in Burton. He was a member of Local 659. Mr. Kirbitz is survived by his wife, Cora Kirbitz of Gladwin; his daughter, Valerie (Greg) Wood of Gladwin; three sons, Robert (Tammy) Kirbitz II, John (Misty) Kirbitz and Anthony (Anne) Kirbitz, all of Gladwin; his grandchildren, Gregory Wood II, Matt Wood, Mason, Robbie, Derrick, Kaila, Tony “Bubba”, and Haylee Kirbitz; his Great-grandson, Ethan Wood; his sisters and brothers, Shirley Moomey of Midland, Walter Kirbitz of Grayling, Kenneth (Esther) Kirbitz of Stafford, Virginia, Carolyn (Tim) MacDormott of Gladwin, Jacquline (Tom) Banta of Harrison, and Randy Kirbitz of Houghton Lake; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife, his parents, his sister, Dorrene Bain, and his step father, Everette Yonts. A funeral service was held Thursday, April 20 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with pastor Brad Withrow officiating. Burial took place in Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris.
