David Kinne
SERVICES HELD FOR DAVID KINNE
Services were held Saturday afternoon for David E. Kinne, 44, of Gladwin, who died suddenly
of a heart attack Wednesday, Jan. 14. He had been driving a snow-mobile, with a friend, a half
mile west of Gladwin, shortly before his death occurred. Born July 25, 1925, in Gladwin, he had
spent his lifetime here with the exception of the years he served in the U.S. Navy during World
War II. He and the former Miss Joy Looker, of Gladwin, were married in June 1949, in Indiana. Mr.
Kinne was employed at Dow Chemical in Miland and was a member of the Gladwin Eagles lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Joy; a son Tracy; two daughters, Tamara and Tina, all at home; his
father Clair, of Gladwin; five brothers, Clyde of Saginaw, William of Hemlock, Harold of Gladwin,
Clayton of Lansing, and Grover of Midland; two sisters, Mrs. Luella Smith of Saginaw, and Mrs.
Margaret Welch of Midland. The Rev. John Cermak officiated at the 2:00 p.m. services at the Hall
Funeral Home and interment was in the Highland Cemetery.
