Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
RITES TODAY FOR LAVON KILLIAN

   Lavon G. Killian, 68, of Beaverton, died Saturday, Dec. 16, after a long illness. Born Jan. 20, 1899, in Harlem, Ind., he lived in Hicksville, Ohio, before coming to Beaverton 50 years ago, in 1917. He was a retired construction worker and served in World War I. He and the former Miss Ruth VanDyke were married in Beaverton on Oct. 29, 1922.

   Mr. Killian is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Mrs. Muriel Wint of Hope and Mrs. Dolores Turow of Midland; two brothers, Vernon of Hicksville, Ohio, and Franklin of Mt. Pleasant; and four grandchildren. Services were held today, Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren, Beaverton, with the Rev. Arthur Whisler officiating. Burial will be in the Dale Cemetery, Beaverton. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
