Adeline B. Kern
Adeline B. Kern, 80, of Gladwin, died Wednesday, June 16, 1993, in the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Gladwin County, June 22, 1912, she had spent her lifetime here. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. The former Adeline Codling, she was married to Ralph Kern on April 27, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1961.
Surviving are 2 sons, Calvin of Gladwin and David of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one brother, Floyd of Lowell; one sister, Helen Garner of Sanford; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and one sister.
Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Sisson Funeral Home. Pastor Sam Wilson officiated and burial was in the McClure Cemetery.
Corrections: In the obituary of Adeline Kern last week, a daughter, Arlene Fromer of Belen, N.M., was left out. Also because of incorrect information, she had 30 great grandchildren instead of 23. We are sorry for the errors.
