William H. Kellogg
ANOTHER VETERAN ANSWERS LAST TAPS --- BROUGHT FROM DETROIT FOR BURIAL
William H. Kellogg died March 10 at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. F. A. Budge in Detroit, aged 78 years.
Mr. Kellogg was a resident of Gladwin and county many
years. After the death of his wife a few years since
he went to Detroit to live with his children. He
served in the Civil war and was a member of the
Gladwin post.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. F. A. Burge
of Detroit, and Mrs. Thomas Sherlock of Washington
state, and one son, Fred Kellogg of Detroit. Services
were held at Detroit Sunday. The body was brought to
Gladwin Monday for interment in Highland cemetery. His
son, Fred Kellogg, and grandson, Dr. C. W. Burge, both
of Detroit, accompanied the body.
