Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Diane Jurick

   Diane Lois Jurick, 62, of Gladwin, passed away Monday afternoon, Dec. 26, 2005 at her residence following a courageous and long fought battle with cancer. She was born in Staten Island, New York on July 1, 1943 to Donald and Muriel (Oldhan) Anderson. She married George A. Jurick on Jan. 5, 1963 in New York, New York, and they moved to the Gladwin area from Livonia in 1997. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked with the Gladwin County Community Mental Health Unit. She was a member of the Herbs and More Garden Club, the Sugar Springs Recreational Committee and attended Christ the King Lutheran Church.

   Surviving besides her husband, George, are three sons, Christopher (Jacoba) Jurick of Riley, Gay (Pam) Jurick of Brighton, and Glen (Christine) Jurick of Mt. Pleasant; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Marcia (Charley) Bruno of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania and Fern (John) Morrison of Andover, New Jersey; and a brother, John (Barbara) Anderson of Columbia, New Jersey.

   Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 29 at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. David Sprang officiating. Graveside services took place at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Diane’s name are asked to consider Hospice Memorial Fund.
