LONG ILLNESS FATAL TO FRANK JONES
Frank G. Jones, 62, passed away at his home in Beaverton this morning (Wednesday) after an illness of one and a half years. He and his wife have operated the Jones Restaurant in Beaverton in recent years. Mr. Jones was a veteran of World War I, serving eight years in the Navy and four years in the Marines. He also was stationed at the CCC Camp here. He had been a resident of Gladwin county for the past 10 years.
Mr. Jones was born in Portland, Michigan on July 2, 1883, and was married to Jane Godden, in Alpena on July 2, 1925, who survives him together with a sister, Mrs. Alfred Tritinski, of Pontiac. The Jones resided in South Branch before coming to Gladwin county.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 30 at the Beaverton Community Building, under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge and burial will be at Maple Ridge cemetery.
