FRANK JOHNSON


  Frank D. Johnson, 63, of 1708 S. Hockaday Rd., Gladwin, died suddenly Sunday, June 22, at his home of a heart attack. Born in Tallahassee, Fla., on February 2, 1917, he came to Gladwin County 22 years ago from Detroit. Mr. Johnson was a bricklayer and a veteran of World War II. He was married to the former Margie E. Ross on December 8, 1937, in Detroit.

  Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Frank Jr. of Detroit; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jerrell (Gwendolyn) Adams, Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Brooks and Mrs. Ike (Theresa) Porter, all of Detroit; one brother, Alex of Detroit; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

  Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Burial will be in the Arbutus Cemetery..
