Doris Johnson
Doris Mae Johnson, 75, of Beaverton, beloved mother and grandmother, was called home to the Promised Land Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006. Though she is dearly missed, the hearts of her family and friends rejoice that she is at peace and with God in heaven. Their memories of her will sustain them until they meet again.
Mrs. Johnson was born September 10, 1930 in Midland, daughter of the late Raymond and Clara (Hearns) Booth. She was married February 21, 1948 in Midland to Cleo W. Johnson. He predeceased her on August 4, 1991. In 1983, they moved from Midland to Beaverton.
Her hobbies included gardening, crossword puzzle solving, reading, crocheting, watching her ‘beloved’ Tigers, camping and traveling the United States. Doris had been a member of the Olson Community Church. She is survived by her children, Ron (Karen) Johnson, Connie (Dave) Rich, Laurie (Lee) Zielinski, Diana (John) Holmes, Deanna (Rob) McClintic, Steve (Kay) Johnson, Randy (Kay) Johnson, Rick Johnson, Penny Owens, Cres (Barb) Johnson. She also leaves 24 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Duane Booth, Elaine and Robert McIntosh, Ray and Nancy Johnson and Helga Booth. In addition to her parents and husband Cleo, she was predeceased by one grandson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson took place at 12 noon Friday, March 3, 2006 at Olson Community Church, 525 N. Nine Mile in Sanford, Pastor Vale Ouderkirk officiating.
