Geraldine Jeska
Geraldine R. Jeska, 78, of Beaverton, died Jan. 12, 2006 at home. She was born July 16, 1927 in Gladwin. She married Bernard Jeska in Bay City on Sept. 23, 1947; he died in 2003. She was a homemaker and lived in Gladwin County since 1962, having previously resided in Bay City. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary 7303 and Blue Star Mothers, Beaverton.
Surviving her are four sons, James Jeska, Paul (Linda) Jeska, James Jeska and Dale Jeska, all of Beaverton; three daughters, Joan (Roger) Einink of Silver Springs, Florida, Retha Parker and Nancy Alburg, both of Beaverton; eight grandchildren and four Greatgrandchildren; four sisters, Carol Grice of Midland, Irene Parker of Bay City, Stella Brushaber of Beaverton and Evelyn Smith of Traverse City; one brother, Clarence Fry of Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his son, David; his granddaughter, Cynthia Flatt; and five brothers.
Funeral services were held Jan. 14 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Edenville with Father Raymond Moeggenberg and Sister Mary Ellen McDonald officiating. Burial took place in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery, Beaverton.
