Geraldine Jeska
Geraldine R. Jeska, 78, of Beaverton died Jan. 12, 2006 at home. She was born July 16, 1927 in Gladwin to William and Ida Mae (Harmeier) Fry. She married Bernard Jeska in Bay City on Sept. 23, 1947; he passed away in 2003. Mrs. Jeska was a homemaker and lived in Gladwin County since 1962, having previously resided in Bay City. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary 7303, and Blue Star Mothers, Beaverton.
Surviving her are three sons, Paul (Linda) Jeska, James Jeska and Dale Jeska, all of Beaverton; three daughters, Joan (Roger) Einink of Silver Springs, Florida, Retha Parker and Nancy Alburg, both of Beaverton; eight grandchildren and four Great grandchildren; four sisters, Carol Grice of Midland, Irene Parker of Bay City, Stella Brushaber of Beaverton and Evelyn Smith of Traverse City; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; one son, David; one granddaughter, Cynthia Flatt; and four brothers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 14 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Edenville with Father Raymond Moeggenberg and Sister Mary Ellen McDonald officiating. Burial took place in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery, Beaverton.
