Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
Julia Jersey

   Julia Margaret Michalak- Jersey, 86, of Gladwin died March 7, 2005 at Saginaw Covenant Cooper following a short illness. She was born April 15, 1918 in Hope to John and Bertha (Havens) Maxwell.

   She married Larry Jersey on March 10, 1990 in Beaverton.

   She was a Housekeeper at Gladwin Hospital. She lived in Gladwin County for the last 65 years, having previously resided in Hope. She was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary 11256 in Gladwin, and Albright Shores Eagle Aerie 3655 in Beaverton.

   Surviving are her husband, Larry Jersey of Gladwin; eight children, Louise Shell of Walled Lake, Barbara (Jesse) Brown of Midland, Anna Sykes of Beaverton, Jolita (Tom) Shaw of Gladwin, Diane (Dave) Williamson of Mt. Morris, Wayne (Nancy) Jersey of Millington, Cindy Jersey of Lolo, Montana, and Barbara Sloane of Houghton Lake; 28 grandchildren, 37 Great grandchildren, and seven Great great grandchildren; one sister, Martha Maier of Beaverton; four brothers, William Maxwell, Donald Maxwell, James Maxwell and John Maxwell, all of Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Shirley; two sisters, Alice and Laura; and one brother, Robert.

   Funeral services were held Friday, March 11 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin, with pastor Chuck Drudge officiating. Burial took place at Billings Township Cemetery in Beaverton. Special services will be provided by V.F.W. Auxiliary 11256 and Albright Shores Eagles Aerie 3655 on Thursday at 7 p.m.
