Robert Jantz

Robert Jantz was born in Warsaw, Russia, Sept. 23, 1894, and died Nov. 29, 1926, aged 32 years, 2 months and 6 days. Robert came to this country at the age of 17 years. He became a citizen of the U.S.A. in the year of 1918. He enlisted in the World war and served his country well. He has been in poor health for a year but was a brave and silent sufferer. He was living with his aunt, Mrs. F. H. Staffinger, when taken to his bed. After a week of illness he was rushed to the Shurley hospital of Detroit and all that skill and science could do could not stay the hand of death.

He was united in marriage to Miss Ruth Wright of Gladwin, Nov. 18, 1923. To this union two children were born, Robert Jr. and Francis Edward. Robert was a loving husband and father. His wife, aunt and brother were with him to the end. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife, two children, father and mother, two brothers, Ed of Detroit and Walter of Germany, three sisters, Delia, Olga and Ottelia of Germany, and a cousin, Peter, of Detroit.

The body was brought to Gladwin Wednesday evening. Services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence M. Pike this afternoon conducted by Rev. Robert Miller. Burial in Highland cemetery.
