Robert Hutson
Robert Earl Hutson, 87, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Gladwin, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 in Dade City, Florida.
Robert (Erk) resided most of his life in Gladwin where he owned and operated the Sinclair (ARCO) service station at the corner of M-18 and M-61. He graduated from Gladwin High School and served in the U.S. Army in the North Pacific from August of 1942 until his discharge in November of 1945. He married Lucille Hamilton of West Branch on Jan. 27, 1947. They had one daughter, Jean Ann, who preceded them in death. Robert’s wife Lucille died in 2000.
Robert was a member of the Odd Fellows in Gladwin and a member of the neighborhood watch program in Betmar Mobile Home Park. He was also an avid golfer. Robert was the youngest of five children and the last to pass on.
A small service was held on Feb. 23 at the Florida National Military Cemetery in Bushnell where he and Lucille will be together for eternity.
