John T. Hughes
SERVICES FRIDAY FOR JOHN HUGHES
John T. Hughes, 62, of Detroit, passed away Tuesday after an illness of three years.
He was born June 27, 1894, in Flushing, and married the former Thelma Bertrand on December
4, 1944, in Detroit. Mr. Hughes was a tool and die maker for the Fleetwood Corporation of
the Cadillac Body Co. in Detroit. He was a veteran of World War II a member of the Elks in
Detroit and also a member of the V.F.W. Post of Beaverton.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Reymore of Bay City, Mrs.
Beatrice McKibbon of Bad Axe, and Mrs. Frances Austin of Fowlerville. One brother, Lawrence,
preceded him in death in 1933. Funeral services will be held at the Dale church, Friday, at
2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Vera Summers officiating. His nephews will be pallbearers and burial
will be in Dale cemetery
