Edwin Hude
Edwin R. Hude, 55, of 3900 Renas Rd., Gladwin, died Tuesday, June 29, in
the Midland Hospital Center following an illness of a year. Born in Sherman Township on
September 12, 1926, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Hude was employed in the service
department of Dow Chemical Co. for 30 years. He retired in April. He was a veteran of World
War II and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Mr. Hude and the former Leola McIntosh were
married September 4, 1948, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one sn, Robert of Gladwin; 4 daughters, Verna and Marilyn
of Gladwin, Mrs. Tom (Ruth) Morales of Texas and Mrs. Roger (Alma) Dowis of Saginaw; one brother,
Robert of Warren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Margaret Basner of Coleman, Mrs. Elizabeth Flaugher and Mrs.
Elsie Lloyd of Gladwin; 3 half-sisters, Mrs. Emma Klawitter of Toledo, Mrs. Marie Eddy of Georgia
and Mrs. Martha Corbus of Sterling Heights; and 3 grandsons. Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Rev. Herbert Biermann
officiated and burial was in the Skeels Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral
Home.
