Virgil House
Virgil E. House, 81, of Bay Port and formerly of Gladwin, died Sunday in
Huron Memorial Hospital in Bad Axe, after a short illness. Born in Eaton, Ohio, on August
28, 1902, he was employed at the Wallace Stone Plant in Bay Port, until retiring in 1966.
Mr. House served in the U.S. Navy. He was married to the former Helen Oaiich on December 20,
1932, in Richmond, Ind. She preceded him in death November 28, 1966.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Bill (Joyce) Kolacz of Deford, Mrs. Trudy Love and Mrs.
Don (Barbara) Lambdin of Gladwin; 4 sons, Rodda of Sherwood, Ohio, Wayne of Pigeon, Gerald
of Bay Port and Marvin of Gladwin; 2 brothers, Rosco of West Milton, Ohio and William of Mesa,
Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Rites were held today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. from the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing.
The Rev. Fred Cooley officiated and burial was at 2 p.m. in Highland Cemetery, Gladwin.
