Daniel Webster Hollenbaugh
DANIEL W. HOLLENBAUGH
RESIDENT OF GLADWIN COUNTY 40 YEARS, HAS PASSED AWAY.
Daniel Webster Hollenbaugh, 40 years a resident of
Gladwin county, died at his home in Butman, August 18,
1910, aged 78 years, 4 months and 25 days, of organic
heart trouble, with which he was sick a year.
He was born in Perry county, Penn. He came to
Gladwin county in early days and followed the
occupation of trapping and hunting, being commonly
known as "Daniel Webster." He also homesteaded an 80
acres in Section Eight, Gladwin township, where he
reared a large family, and later moved to Butman where
he resided until his death.
Two daughters are dead, and the following children
are living, all being at the funeral except Mrs. Gray,
who was unable to attend: Vine Hollenbaugh, Mrs. F. C.
Pearn of Chicago, Mrs. Elmer Grey of Gladwin and sons
Daniel, John and Leslie, I. B. Fogleson of Grand
Rapids and John Corlew of Flint, sons-in-law, were
also it attendance.
Funeral services were held at Butman schoolhouse,
Rev. L. V. Soldan officiating, assisted by Rev.
Charles Woods.
