Louis Hoffman
Louis R. Hoffman, 70, of Gladwin, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1994, in Saginaw
Veterans Hospital after a short bout with cancer. He was born in Gladwin on Jan. 28, 1923, and
had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Hoffman was a retired rigger for Dow Chemical Co. in Midland.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Gladwin County VFW 7303, the DAV, Gladwin
Masonic Lodge 397 F& AAM, Bay City Consistory, The Shriners, Military Order of The Purple Heart
and the Gladwin Eagles Aerie 3292.
Surviving are one brother, Jean of Pinconning; 2 sisters, Jeanette Anderson and Doris Blank
of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Sisson
Funeral Home. Chaplain Joseph White officiated and burial was in the McClure Cemetery. A Masonic
Service was held Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital
for Crippled Childr.
