Katherine Hock
Katherine Kravat Hock, 68, of Bloomington, Illinois, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal, Illinois. She was born Feb. 11, 1937 in Gladwin to Jacob Kravat and Katherine Fath. She married Kenneth R. Hock on June 21, 1958 in Gladwin.
She owned and operated a home day care in Columbia, Missouri for 30 years. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church Merna in Bloomington, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hock; one daughter, Teena (Mike) Crane of Bloomington, Illinois; two sons, Kenneth E. Hock and Dale L. Hock, both of Columbia, Missouri; two sisters, Helen Kravat of Dearborn Heights and Betty Rice of Gladwin; two brothers, Joseph (Angie) Kravat of Bay City and Ernest (Margie) Kravat of Mio; five grandchildren, Jessica and Morgan Crane, J.D., Maris and Summer Hock. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral Mass was held Monday, June 13 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Merna in Bloomington. Fr. Jerry Ward officiated. Visitation was Sunday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements were handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home of Bloomington.
