Joseph W. Hickerson
Joseph W. Hickerson, 42, died at his home in Gaylord Thursday, July 11.
Born in Midland, August 11, 1931, he was married to the former Miss Jean Cameron of Gladwin.
Mr. Hickerson was employed by the Wicks Corporation in Gladwin and moved with them to Gaylord
when the lumber yard was opened there several years ago, where he was assistant manager. He
served in the armed services in the Korean War and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Jean; a son Joseph M.; 3 daughters, Julie, Jill and Jacklyn, all at
home; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Gaylord St. Mary's
Catholic Church, and burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Gladwin, at 3 p.m. that afternoon.
Nelson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangemen.
