ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. HERENDEEN

   Mrs. Agnes Herendeen, 86, long-time resident of Beaverton, died, Thursday, July 12, in the Michigan Masonic Home in Alma, following an illness of three years. She lived in Beaverton 64 years and was a life member of the Eastern Stars. Mrs. Herendeen was born in Ireland on July 29, 1876, and was married to William Herendeen in 1895 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death in 1957.

   Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Carman Schlichter, Harrison, Mrs. Marion Snyder, West Branch, and Mrs. Lena Houghtaling, of Midland; two sons, Dick, of Lake Worth, Fla., and Paul, of Midland; 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Velma Boman, also preceded her in death.

   Services were held Monday, July 16, at 2 p.m. from the Beaverton Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Ross Tracy offficiating. Burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
