Josephine Heinze

   Josephine A. “Joanne” Heinze, 77, of Liberty Center, Ohio died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

   Josephine was born Sept. 18, 1930 in Toledo to the late Victor and Theresa (Dupuis) Brubaker. Joanne was a homemaker and had been employed in the kitchen at both the Maumee Youth Camp and Nazareth Hall. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Rapids.

   Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Daniel R. Heinze; three sons, Richard (Diane) Heinze of Montpelier, David (Karen) Heinze and Michael (Helen) Heinze, both of Neapolis; daughter, Theresa (Milton) Vollmar of Liberty Center; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Florence) Brubaker of Midland and Bernard (Jean) Brubaker of Breckenridge; and sister, Betty (William) Ridley of Gladwin. Two brothers, Robert and Donald Brubaker, also preceded her in death.

   Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday, April 10, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Rapids with Rev. F. Anthony Gallagher presiding.

   She was laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
