Charles Hedger
Charles W. Hedger, 70, of Harrison, Michigan passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Hubert and Pansy Mae (Taylor) Hedger. He married the former Karen Anderson on Sept. 22, 1955 in Wayne, Michigan; she survives him. He retired in 1994 from Northville State Hospital as a Recreational Therapist. They moved to Gladwin in 1997. He was a member of Harrison Moose Lodge, Harrison Eagles, and of the Christ the King Lutheran Church. He loved working in the yard and played softball and baseball all of his life. He raised Harness Racing horses and like to work with young adults.
He is survived by his wife Karen; two sons, Kenneth Hedger of Waterford Township and Keith (Tresa) Hedger of Commerce Township; two grandchildren, Alexander and Brandon Hedger; one brother, William Hedger of Brooklyn, Michigan; and his sister, Judy Richardson of Bellville. He was predeceased by three sisters and five brothers.
A funeral service was held Monday, May 1 at the Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. David Sprang officiating. Memorials may be made out to the church. Sisson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
