Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Charles Hayward

   Charles E. Hayward, 76, of Gladwin, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the MidMichigan Medical Center–Gladwin.
He was born March 3, 1932 in Gladwin County the son of Leno and Fern (Sphon) Hayward.
On Aug. 27, 1983 he married Katherine in Gladwin.
He worked for the City of Gladwin for 35 years and was the sexton for Ridge, McClure and Skeels cemeteries.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine; sons, Vern Hayward of Gladwin, Glenn Lee (Darlene) Hayward of Jackson, Jim (Terry) Hayward of Florida, John Hayward of Beaverton, Robert Hayward of Oklahoma, Howard Hayward of Florida, and Tom (Linda) Hayward of Gladwin; daughters, Ellen (Rick) Strand of Shepherd, Waneeta Seager of Cadillac and Rose (Bill) McKinney of Gladwin; sister-in-law, Rena Hayward of Gladwin; and sisters Irene Ross of Beaverton, Joann (Tom) Malenfant of Gladwin and Donna Cook of Gladwin.
He was preceded by death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Hortop officiating.
He was laid to rest in Ridge Cemetery.
