Wilson Haynes
MANY YEARS A RESIDENT OF GLADWIN COUNTY, HAS PASSED AWAY
Wilson Haynes died Sunday at 2:45 p.m. after an
illness of several months. He was in his 73rd year.
For many years he had been a resident of Gladwin
county, living in Grout and Sage township and the
city. While a resident of Sage township he filled the
offices of supervisor and treasurer. A few years ago
he came to the city to spend his declining years. Mr.
Haynes lost an arm in the service to his country, and
was well known as a G.A.R. man. He was also a member
of the Odd Fellows and Foresters. His wife, one
daughter, Mrs. Ed Mathews, and one son, Fred, survive
him. The son is in British Columbia, and was unable to
reach here for the funeral.
At the request the funeral which was held
yesterday, was conducted by the Gladwin I.O.O.F.
lodge. Rev. Henry Kreulen of Beaverton delivered the
sermon. Interment took place in Highland cemetery.
