Willard E. Hathaway

RITES FRIDAY FOR W. E. HATHAWAY


  Services will be held Friday for Willard E. Hathaway, 76, who died Tuesday, July 23, following an illness of several months. Born June 19, 1892, in Elsie, Mr. Hathaway came to his farm in Billings Township 29 years ago and prior to that had lived in Midland Couty since the age of seven years. A World War I veteran, he and his wifes, Susan, were married March 6, 1920, in Beaverton.

  Survivors include his wife, Susan; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Curry (Frances) of Rhodes, and Mrs. Hattie Ranes of Lexington; one son, Norman, of Midland; four brothers, Lewis of Grand Rapids, Clarence of Lakewood, Club, Vernon of Gladwin, and John of Beaverton; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

  The Rev. Neil G. Keyes will officiate at the funeral services Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Miner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Billings Cemetery..
