MANUEL HARGER DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME
Manuel Harger, 61, died suddenly at his home in Buckeye township on Sunday, Nov. 24. He
was born in Paulding County, Ohio, on May 13, 1896. A World War I veteran, he had been a
Gladwin county resident for 55 years. He was married to Miss Mattie Carigon in February, 1919,
in Beaverton. She preceded him in death. Surviving include two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Bennett of
Ionia and Mrs. Alta Frank of Roscommon: one son, Lewis, of Flint; eight grandchildren; one
brother, Clarence, of Clement City; and two sisters, Mrs. Lyla Brown and Mrs. Loa Soles, of Ohio.
One son, Rollie C., preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home.
The Rev. Burdett Faulk will officiate and burial will be in Highland cemetery.
