RETURNED HOME
SGT. LESLIE J. HANNA
Reburial services for Sgt. Leslie J. Hanna will be held on Thursday morning, September 29, at
the Sacred Heart church. The Rev. Fr. Michael Wolf will officiate at the High Mass at 10 o'clock.
Interment under the auspices of the Gladwin American Legion Post, will be in Highland cemetery.
Sgt. Hanna was born in Gladwin on June 3, 1914, and graduated from Gladwin high school in 1934.
"Lucky", as he was known to countless friends here, enlisted in the Army in 1942, serving as tail
gunner on a Flying Fortress in England. He was killed in action over Germany in February, 1944.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hanna, of Gladwin; three brothers, Wendell, Leo and
Larry Hanna, all of Gladwin; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Richmond, of Mt. Pleasant, Elsie Hanna, of
Muskegon, and Helen Mae, at home.
