Earl L. Hanes
EARL HANES
Earl L. Hanes, 85, of 2721 Whitney Beach Rd.,
Beaverton, died suddenly Saturday, Aug. 14, in the
Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Little Currant,
Ontario, Can., on April 22, 1891, he came to Gladwin
County 16 years ago from Troy. Mr. Hanes was a retired nurseryman-landscaper. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Kismet Lodge No. 489 F. & A.M. in Highland Park. He and the former Beatrice Galloway were married in New York on July 6, 1922.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Thomas of
Troy and Robert of Urbana, Ill.; six grandchildren and
three great grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday
at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin.
Pastor Margreet Smith officiated and burial wass in
the Rhodes Cemetery..
