Edith Hamilton
Edith R. (Huber) Hamilton, 94, of Gladwin passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at Edna Mae’s Leisurely Living.
Edith was born Dec. 29, 1912 in Gladwin to Mathias and Maude (Swinehart) Huber.
She married David Hamilton on June 20, 1961. David passed away in June 1975 Edith was a school teacher having started in Frederick, Michigan in a one room school house. She also taught at Winegars and Gladwin. She was a teacher for 42 years.
Surviving are one brother, Don (Mary) Huber of Gladwin; six sisters, Pat (Dick) Priemer of Gladwin, Maxine (Kenneth) Young of Gladwin, Wanda Terrant of Montrose, Eunice (Dick) List of Bay City, Maysell Redman of Gladwin and Ruth Otterbacher of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Nellie Huber; and many nieces and nephews Two brothers, Duane and Ovid Huber; and one sister, Loraine Flynn, predecease Edith.
Services were held Monday, April 23, 2007 at Sisson Funeral Home. Jerome Frandle and Bill Denk officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery.
