KILLED IN CAMP
A man named Hamilton was instantly killed by a log
on Wednesday morning at J. J. Watts camp 11 miles
above Edenville on the Tittabawassee river. Hamilton
had only arrived in camp the night before from his
home in Canada. Going out early in the morning, he was
set to work loading logs on sleighs, was caught by a
rolling log which struck his back, breaking it and
killing him instantly. The remains were brought to
Sanford, from there they were sent to Canada; Mr.
Watts previously wiring the sad news to his friends.
Deceased was about 25 years old.
