Edward Hackworth Jr.
Edward A. Hackworth, Jr., 18, of Beaverton, passed away Saturday, July 9 from injuries sustained in a boating accident. Ed was born April 1, 1987 in Flint to Edward and Amy Gilmore Hackworth, Sr. He attended Beaverton Rural Schools and was currently working as a carpenter. Ed loved to hunt and fish, play cards, chess, pool and basketball.
Surviving are his father and step-mother, Edward and Elizabeth Hackworth, Sr. of Beaverton; two brothers, James and Andrew, and three sisters, Adrianna, Kendra and Brittany, all of Beaverton; his grandmothers, Agnes McDonald of Beaverton and Joyce Humphrey of South Carolina; his Great grandmother, Patricia Bush of Mount Pleasant; his step-grandparents, Jerry Lee Weiger and Susan Sunderman, both of Roseville, and Kenneth and Lynn Pollack of Brooklyn; ex-step-mother, Cassandra Hackworth of Beaverton; and several aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his grandfathers, Robert Hackworth, William McDonald and Lee Kaufman.
Services were held Monday at the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. Pastor Adam Drudge and Pastor Charles Sanders officiated.
