Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Carol Haas

   Carol L. Haas, 63, of Gladwin, Michigan died July 22, 2006 at home following a long illness. She was born Jan. 5, 1943 in Bentley to Charles and Hattie (Hartman) Haas. She lived in Gladwin County since 1963, having previously resided in Midland. She was married for 40 years to Ethan Solosky.

   Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an amazing person who had exceptional beauty and personality, with an amazing talent in business and her career as an interior designer. She loved animals, the farm, the house in France, flowers and gardening.

   Surviving are her husband, Ethan Solosky of Gladwin; her children, Lenore (Brian) Crawford of Midland, Jody Watters of Ann Arbor, Kim Solosky of Tampa, Florida, James Solosky of Gladwin, and Donia Solosky of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren and three Great-grandchildren; her mother, Hattie Haas of Standish; two brothers, Gerald (Janice) Haas of Standish and Robert (Cheryl) Haas of Bentley; two sisters, Shirley (Gerald) Loper of Bentley and Christine Mason of Standish; and her dog, Brie. She was predeceased by her father.

   A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 26 at 11 a.m., with a gathering starting at 10 a.m., at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Gladwin. Rev. Mary Jo Schuetz will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA.
