David Gust
David Gust, 83, of 130 W. Maple St., Gladwin, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, in the
Clare Nursing Home after an illness of two months. Born in Zhitomir, Russia, on December 12, 1894,
he came to Gladwin County in 1941 from Gratiot County. Mr. Gust was a retired farmer and a member
of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He was married to the former Natalie Kubishke on January 21, 1926,
in Elyria, Ohio. She preceded him in death on April 24, 1958.
Surviving are 3 sons, Donald of Gladwin, William of West Branch and Emil of Coleman; 12
grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Our Savior
Lutheran Church. The Rev. Herbert Biermann officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Ho.
