Lela Grove
ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. GROVE
Mrs. Mervin Grove, 51, of Gaylord, died at her home Monday, July 22, following an illness of 18 months. The former Lela Mae Parker was born Dec. 20, 1916, to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Parker in Gladwin. She was married to Mervin Grove June 21, 1935, in Gladwin, and they lived in Saginaw until 1948 when they returned to Gladwin. In 1960, they moved to Gaylord.
Survivors are her husband, Mervin; two daughters, Mrs. Dean Conner (Darlene) of Gladwin, and Mrs. Robert Cogswell (Valerie) of Big Rapids; two sons, Larry of Gladwin, and Orval of Clare; her mother, Mrs. Wilma Parker of Gladwin; a sister, Mrs. Michael Lowe (Donna Lee) of Flint; three brothers, Harold and Walter of Gladwin, and Curtis of Salinas, Calif., and six grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday (today) at 1:00 p.m. at the Miner Funeral Home with the Rev. Nelson Clair officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
