Holland Grove
Holland Clare Grove, 78, of Gladwin, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Grove was born on Feb. 25, 1926 to the late Omer and Goldie (Wright) Grove in Gladwin.
He married the former Edna Mae Russell on Oct. 11, 1947. Mr. Grove was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was also the former owner of the Gladwin Dairy Freez. Holland retired from the Dow Chemical Company and has lived in Gladwin all his life.
Surviving are his wife, Edna Mae Grove; five children, Dan (Tammy Greene) Grove of Midland, Morris (Judy Kleiss) Grove of Gladwin, Suzanne (Jim) Crusen of Freeland, Diane (Tom) Mienk of Gladwin, and Roxanne (Tim) Schulz of Houghton; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Cicel Behnke of Ft. Mead, Florida. Holland was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will take place at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. with burial in Ridge Cemetery. Pastor Tony Alexander will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sisson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Hospice of Gladwin, or Hospice of West Branch. The Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
