Goldie Grove
ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. GOLDIE GROVE
Mrs. Goldie B. Grove, 73, of Sage Township, died Tuesday after a long illness. Born in Paulding County, Ohio on July 2, 1888, she had lived in Gladwin County 49 years. She was married in Ohio to Omar C. Grove in 1903. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1938. Mrs. Grove was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Audra Johnson, Mrs. Beatrice Smith, Mrs. Cecil Behnke and Mrs. Shirley Roberts, of Gladwin, and Mrs. Delavinia Card, of Flint; eight sons, Mervin, of Gaylord, Wilbur, of Beaverton, and Howard, Basil, Omer, Holland, Aaron, and Duane, of Gladwin; a sister, Mrs. James McCollough, and a brother, Clarence Donley, of Oakwood, Ohio; 48 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Methodist Church with burial in Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home.
