Everett Gronda
Everett G. Gronda, 63, of 3368 N. West River Rd., Gladwin, died early
Thursday, Dec. 29, of a heart attach. Born in Saginaw on February 12, 1920, he came to
Gladwin County in 1970 from Saginaw. He was a tool grinder for Eaton Manufacturing in
Saginaw for 34 years until retiring June 1, 1974. A veteran of World War II he served 3
years in the South Pacific and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of several Gladwin
and Beaverton bowling leagues, the Whirling G's Square Dance Club and the Gladwin United
Methodist Church.
Mr. Gronda was married to the former Josephine Walsh on February 8, 1947, in Saginaw. Besides
his wife he is survived by one son, Mark of Saginaw; 2 daughters, Robin Moor of Gladwin and Mrs.
Michael (Kelli) DuVall of Flushing; 3 brothers, Floyd of Gladwin, Earl of Saginaw and Robert of
Freeland; 2 sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Krauss and Mrs. Velitta Merrow of Gladwin; a sister-in-law Mrs.
Emma Gronda of Saginaw; and 8 grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Donald Bates
officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral
Home.
