Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Valda Greer

   Mrs. Valda A. Greer, 72, of 2505 Weber Re., Gladwin, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 1990, at her home after a long illness. Born in Gladwin, Sept. 29, 1917, she had spent her lifetime here. Mrs. Greer attended County Normal School and as a teacher in the Sage, Sugar Rapids, Billings and McClure rural schools. She was a charter member of the Gladwin Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 3292. The fomer Valda Shell, she was married to Ike Greer, June 15, 1938, in Gladwin.

   Besides her husband, she is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Maureen) Bittinger of Grand Blanc, Mrs. Ronald (Gail) Anderson of Gladwin and Mrs. Gary (Darla) Rellinger of Alanson; one brother, Donald Shell of Gladwin; one sister, Hazel Frye of Gladwin; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A son, Gary, preceded her in death, Dec. 13, 1974.

   Services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Donald Potter officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery. An Eagles Memorial Service was held Friday at 8 p.m.
