Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Iris Greer

   Iris H. (Ike) Greer, 74, of 2506 Weber Rd., Gladwin, died suddenly Friday, Dec. 25, 1992, in the Manatee Hospital, Bradenton, Fla. He was born in Gladwin on June 12, 1918, and had spent his lifetime in Gladwin. He was an operating engineer for Local 324 in Saginaw for 30 years and retired in 1980. He was a member of the Gladwin Fraternal of Eagles 3292 and the Harrison Moose Lodge 2235. Mr. Greer and the former Valda Shell were married June 15, 1938, in Gladwin. She preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 1990.

   Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Maureen) Bittinger of Grand Blanc, Mrs. Ronald (Gail) Anderson of Gladwin and Mrs. Gary (Darla) Rellinger of ALanson; 4 brothers, Donald of Alger, Vern of West Branch, John and Jerry of Gladwin and Ken of Beaverton; 7 sisters, Luella Hoskinson, Irene Hetherington and Marian Nash of Gladwin, Lois Presido and Beverly Fischer of Beaverton, Betty Stone of DeWitt and Ruth Catlett of Rockville, Md.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A son, Gary, preceded him in death Dec. 13, 1974.

   Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Donald Roberts officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery. A Eagles Memorial Service was held Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Gladwin Area.
