Amos Greer

   Amos D. Greer, 98, of Gladwin passed away Friday, March 30, 2007 at Mid Michigan Medical Center- Gladwin.
Amos was born July 24, 1908 in Gladwin Township to James and Eva (Edick) Greer He married the former Edna Reithel on Sept. 12, 1937 in Detroit. Edna passed away March 7 of this year.
He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Amos and Edna started the Greer Motel in 1941 and retired in 1971. Amos and his brother, Melvin, owned and operated Greer Brothers Farm Machinery Sales for a number of years.
Amos and Edna spent many years traveling around the country competing in field trials with their Brittany dogs. He was an honorary member of the Saginaw Brittany Club and the American Brittany Club Surviving are one brother, Melvin (Jeanne) Greer of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Rae and William, and two sisters, Seneth and Velma, predecease Amos.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Our Savior Lutheran Church Rev. Matthew Schultz will officiate and entombment will be in the Highland Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Sisson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
