Jesse C. Grant
Jess C. Grant was born Jan. 1, 1895, in Woodland, Barry county, Michigan, and, died
Feb. 7, 1925, at Saginaw Genral hospital, from peritonitis, aged 30 years, 1 month and 6
days. He was united in marriage to Leone Henry, July 22, 1922, and to this union were born
two sons, Clyde, 23 months old, and Claud, 7 months old. Besides a wife and two sons he
leaves to mourn a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. U.S. Grant, a brother Charles, and sister,
Mrs. Clifton Paxton, and many relatives and friends.
Mr. Grant was a member of the A.E.F. and served overseas 10 months in the 85th division.
He was a highly respected neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 11, at Dale M.E. church, by Rev. H.B.
Johnson, of Clare, and the American Legion. Burial in Dale cemetery.
