Charles Gould
CHARLES GOULD
Charles W. Gould, 78, of 220 W. Beech St., Gladwin,
died Tuesday morning, Sept. 6, in the Gladwin Area
Hospital following a long illness. Born in Standish
May 27, 1905, he came to Gladwin County in 1937 from
Detroit. He was a body trimmer for Briggs
Manufacturing Co. while in Detroit and was the hydro
operator for Wolverine Power Co. at the dams on the
Tittbawassee River until retiring in 1970. He was
married to the former Irene Babcock on October 6,
1923, in Mt. Clemens.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. Glen (Shirley) Thomas; 5 grandchildren and 2
great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2
children, Francis and Evelyn. Services will be held
Thursday at the Mathews Funeral Home. Burial will be
in the Highland Cemetery.
