Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Queen Glidden

   Mrs. Queen L. Glidden, 98, of 118 Saginaw St., Beaverton, died Tuesday, July 7, in the Midland Hospital Center after a short illness. Born in Smith Creek, Gladwin County, Oct. 1, 1888, she had spent most of her life in Beaverton. Mrs. Glidden was a member of the Dale and Billings Ladies Aids and the Beaverton Senior Citizens. The former Queen Oliver, she was married to Clarence Glidden in 1910 in Beaverton. He preceded her in death March 16, 1957.

   Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Vera McKimmy of Ludington; one brother, Jay Oliver of Beaverton; and 1 grandson; 6 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. A brother, James Oliver, 2 sisters, Bessie Bartlet and Pearl Fox and a granddaughter, Carol Yost, also preceded her in death. Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beavertn Chapel. The Rev. Henry List officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Beaverton Senior Citizens Center.
